For those of you having a hard time thinking of something to write about, why not try this?

Write a letter to me. Write about one thing you have learned to do during this time of physical distancing and isolation. Remember this should be about something you have learned. Maybe it is something you learned at home but never really had the time to try. . Maybe it is something you learned through our Home Learning website. It could even be something you learned about the outdoors, a wonder of nature or something about your Mi’kmaq heritage. Think of one thing you learned to do, and tell me all about it.

Describe what it is that you learned to do.
Explain if it was hard or easy to do and give reasons. Tell where you were and if anyone helped you. Describe how you felt when you learned how to do it.

It can be mailed out to me at the school

Tasks requiring no technology

Health and Wellness

Grab a book and read for 20 minutes

Write in your journal. Start out small. Something as simple as what you are doing each day. Its your journal. Begin for 15 minutes and try to create a drawing about it when you are done.

Write a letter to someone you love in your family.

Play a board games or card games. This helps your numeracy skills and how to follow directions. Board games such as Monopoly, Snakes and Ladders and Trouble are great. Card games such as War, Fish, and Crazy 8s are all good

Studying the weather, Sun and stars, the tides, and seasons are all good ways to gain Science knowledge. Any of these help develop scientific thinking skills.

Begin by making a list of all the things you want to do that this social isolation will not allow you to do. When we are through with the isolation, try to do as many of the things you wrote down. Make sure you stay active everyday. We should try to get at least 30 minutes of physical activity each day

Hi boys and girls. It was really great to hear some you this week when called. For those of you who I wasn't able to get in touch with you can contact me at I really miss you all.

If you remember your google email address you can send me off an email. If you are unable but your parents or grandparents have an email account they can also contact me. I want to hear how you are doing. I am a little technically challenged and do not have Facebook so in that case, Bernie, our classroom EA wll be able to take some messages. We would really really ike to have a reliable phone number at the very least as we know technology can be an issue for some.

If you would like your google account user name and password let me know and we can make arrangements for you to retrieve it.
