Hello Grade 6! I hope everyone is staying busy during these long days at home.
Here are some things that I do to keep busy.
Language Arts! - Read a book for at least 20 minutes a day. Hopefully you all have a book of some sort that you have been working on. Remember to always think about the books setting (time and place) characters (the people or animals or things that can speak) and the plot (the way the story unfolds, the beginning-middle-end). Reading can be enjoyable when you create it as a little movie in your head :)
Math- Always work on your times table. 1-10. A good way to keep it fun is to use a deck of cards and multiply the first 2 cards you draw. If you want to make it more difficult, multiply the first 3 cards you pull from the deck. Also, get someone in your family to teach you how to play crib if you have a crib board. Remember the math games you play at school, they will help you with all your numeracy skills.
Phys. Ed- Stretch for 20 minutes every morning when you get out of bed. Try to remember our stretches in phys. ed that help with all your leg muscles. This week, lets work on flexibility. Being flexible allows you to grow your strength when doing more difficult workouts!
Can't remmeber our stretches?? Go to youtube and type in "Stretching for Beginners" and enjoy all of the workouts at your disposal!!
Have a great week grade 6!!
